Last report of the season - and whilst I can't exactly say I enjoyed seeing us lose, at least it was a good show against a side who have spent big and who brought people off the bench who would start for just about every other side.
Having said that, we gave away possession in the build up to the 3 cracking goals Fleetwood scored......
Warlow was excellent, Pond strong in midfield, Clancy an irritating livewire; but we had Brayson, Turnbull and Harrison who did their stuff and certainly could have had a point on a hard pitch played in a stiff wind.
Brayson had already hooked a half volley wide before a strong tackle from Harrison released BRAYSON to strike right footed into the far corner, from a tight angle on 9 minutes.
A stunning leveller from WARLOW on 16 minutes:- Pell's poor clearance was beautifully struck right footed from outside the box and nestled low into the bottom corner.
Chances to both sides came and went before Fleetwood took the lead on 58 minutes. Pond won the ball and sprayed a long ball wide right out to WARLOW - the number 10 went past Brackstone too easily and had a free run, cutting inside and hammering a superb left footer high into the roof of the net, again outside of the area.
Game back on - Harrison took on Tait's throw-in and a deft short through pass was rolled past the keeper and slowly over the line by BRAYSON on the hour.
The winner was neatly tucked away by sub SEDDON, coming in from the left following Barry's pass and a steered low shot gave Bell no chance on 68 minutes.
Clancy and Pond could have wrapped things up but equally Brayson, twice, and a Hooks effort pulled well wide from Brayson's lay-off could have brought a share of the points.
