Post subject: Spennymoor Town v Blyth Spartans - Saturday 24th July
Hi Guys,
Just a quick post to remind you that the admission for tomorrow's friendly at The Brewery Field is £2 Adults and £1 Concessions. We have had 300 and 400 attendances at our two previous friendlies and here's hoping for another big crowd tomorrow.
Programmes are available at £1 (28 page full colour gloss), the canteen serves a fantastic range of both hot and cold food (located between the two stands), and the Moors bar upstairs in the main stand is open all day serving extra cold lagers, ciders and beers on draught all at cheap prices, as well as a selection of bottles lagers and soft drinks. There is also a big screen showing any live game on either Sky Sports or ESPN in the Moors bar.
The ground has undergone major refurbishment over the last 12 months and work is currently on going, but for sure it's a damn sight better than it was on your last visit.
Apologies in advance for gatecrashing your forum, and hopefully see a good following of Spartans - as always - out in force tomorrow.
Cheers

Your ground was always at least half good and even the two lesser sides just looked like they needed some TLC.
Doubt we'll bring many tomorrow, we never do for friendlies any more.

Pretty decent showing against a lively Spennymoor side. Think most of us expected one of those inevitable defeats against a decent Northern League side who would be up for beating us.
From the first penalty we were awarded think of Uruguay's winning penalty against Ghana in the World Cup. That's what Brassie tried to do at least but Turns just about managed to catch it. But next penalty and this time Brassie just hit it properly for the opener.
From a Brassie effort Turns saved and Alexander followed up the rebound to double the lead.
Gavin Cogdon for them scored a superb individual goal to pull the score back. Moments later a great cross from Tait was met by Brassie but Turns pulled off a great save.
The result doesn't matter but it was nice to win this sort of game and with a good performance.

Good game good game.
Well pleased with this performance.Nice passing movements on a worse pitch then ours.Everyone put in a good shift, looking fresh and up for it.Spendymore looked poor to be fair.
Nice set up..£2 to get in,bottled lager at £1.25....food also very well priced.
