Cheeks has not been enjoying his football as of late, he thinks that the spark is missing from the dressing room. Definitley not Unibond days!!!!
He has definitely not gone at the moment and is playing friendlies with Whitley Bay before he decides what to do.
IF he goes, it is his decision and not the club's
If anybody is interested Whitley are playing Darlo Monday 7.00 ko.
I'll be there to try and find out what is happening. |

as a Whitley Bay fan I have not come on here to gloat at the potential move of Cheeks to Hillheads. I do have a soft spot for Blyth also. However, I think people have missed what to me seems a potential reason to move on other than those thoughts already expressed. With the greatest respect to Blyth, if he is to move to Whitley it gives him a greater chance of playing in a national final at Wembley. For Blyth to do this in the FA Trophy means having to come up against teams at a higher level, run full time and with big financial backing. For Whitley, they are already at that level in terms of the FA Vase. Perhaps this would be an additional reason for a player to drop down a level (or two).
Whatever happens I hope that BSAFC have an exciting and successful season, as I hope we do at Hillheads
Howay the Bay!!!

Having watched one of the so call better teams in that league he is welcome to it, it certainly won't be a challenge jogging around after those ageing limbs. The Terriers were akin to Lawrie McMenemy's Southampton with their clutch of ex International playing out the twilight of their career (no offence intended).

But that is not the reason he would want to go to Whitley. If It was he would have gone straight away and he hasn't made his mind up yet.
At the minute he feels like the fans have felt over the last couple of seasons, I will leave it at that.

The difference being of course we fans can't switch clubs, well I personally wouldn't.
